NPSL VA BEACH, VIRGINIA (May 17th)— Virginia Beach City FC made it seven games unbeaten today when they defeated FC Frederick 2-1 in the NPSL Mid-Atlantic Conference regular season. The win clinched the team’s bid into the NPSL playoffs and their home field advantage. They will now face their rivals Northern Virginia United in the 2022 NPSL playoff semi-finals on Wednesday night at Powhatan Field.
While VB City FC hasn’t made it to the top of the ladder this year, the club continues to be a leader in the development of local young players. Owner Steven Wagoner recently told WSLS 8 that the team has produced multiple former players who have gone on to compete professionally.
As the leader in local player development, VB City FC has a strong commitment to helping players of all ages reach their full potential on and off the field. Some of the most prominent examples include Sidney Rivera who signed a professional contract with Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer, Peter Pearson who went on to win a NCAA I National Championship in 2014 as a freshman at the University of Virginia, and a long list of other young athletes who have gone on to play at the highest level of their sport.
In addition to a robust youth and travel soccer program, TSJFCV offers a professionally managed Futsal Academy and Futsal leagues in Loudoun & Fairfax County. Its girls Futsal Academy currently boasts a top 20 ranking nationally for girls club soccer (#1 in the DMV), a robust college placement track record, and numerous former players who have represented at the professional and US National Team level.

Beach FC & NYSL
The Beach FC & NYSL is a volunteer-based organization that provides a competitive youth soccer program for boys and girls between the ages of eight and eighteen. The program is organized as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of Virginia and is run by dedicated coaches and volunteers.
The Beach FC & NYSL is headquartered in Virginia Beach and has a growing team of experienced and talented coaches who are committed to delivering an expanding soccer experience for all children. They believe that soccer is a great way to develop well-rounded youth through motor skills, leadership and self-confidence, teamwork and social skills.
