Beach Soccer Club

Beach soccer club is one of the largest non-profit club soccer organizations in Southern California with over 65 boys and girls teams representing over 1,500 families. Our mission is to provide a fun and safe environment for youth of all ages to develop their skills while building relationships with other players, coaches and parents.

Beach Soccer Rules

Beach football is an official sport with rules established by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). It is a similar game to association football, with some differences that emphasize skill and agility. It is played on a sandy surface that varies in texture from grass to sand and requires an improvisational style of play.

The game has two on-field referees who co-operatively referee the game. They are assisted by a third referee who acts in a manner similar to football’s fourth official and a timekeeper, with yellow and red cards being issued, as in football. The team that receives a red card may replace their dismissed player with a substitute after two minutes, like a power play in ice hockey.

Goals

The goals in beach soccer are 2.2 metres from the ground to the bottom of the crossbar and 5.5 metres from the goal to the inside of each upright. They are marked by two red flags in touch to represent the half-way line and a yellow flag situated at the centre of the field to denote the penalty area.

Coaches

The role of a coach in beach soccer is critical to the success of the game, as they are responsible for training their team, monitoring their progress and ensuring that all players are playing to the highest possible standard. A good coach will have a clear vision of what their team is attempting to achieve, and they will be able to guide them through this process with confidence and determination.

In addition to training, a coach will also need to provide their team with a variety of resources such as coaching manuals, player information sheets and tournament schedules. These will help them understand the different aspects of the game and make them more successful in their endeavors.

A coach will also be responsible for their team’s equipment, and for making sure that their players are wearing appropriate clothing. They should have a full kit for each match and should ensure that each player is wearing protective equipment such as shin guards, knee pads and gloves.

Recruiting new players is crucial to the success of a beach soccer team, and it is important for a coach to find and recruit talented individuals who are willing to commit to the long-term development of the team. This is the most important part of a coach’s job and it should be done carefully, with attention to detail.

Players should be well-mannered and respectful of others, especially the opponent’s defenders, and should always be a good listener. They should also show a high level of commitment to their team and strive to be the best they can be.
